Our aim is to help disabled children continue their schooling without interruption and to develop their full potential by providing educational grants.
Through our self-employment project, our aim is to help amputees and disabled persons regain their self-esteem, dignity and sense of well-being and re-integrate into mainstream society. Providing needy amputees and disabled persons with interest free loans to enable them to undertake income generating activities so that they could support themselves without being a burden on others.
Started in 1991, AIDEX is the Annual Sports Festival for users of the Jaipur Limb. Organized by the Colombo Friend-in-Need Society, this is the only event that draws public attention towards the society and its hard work in the community.
The Colombo Friend-In-Need Society provide hostel facilities to the disabled persons who come for fitting of artificial limbs. The hostel consists of separate male and female wards. The tenants will be provided with facilities such as free meals and physiotherapy.
